On one hand I don't really mind I didn't get to go to Hogsmeade because there was more important stuff going on at the time, but on the other hand I wish I had at least thought to ask someone to bring me back some candy. I'm almost out of sugar quills and they help to calm my nerves.
At least I've figured out what to wear to the dance. I think.

Fortunately today is a pretty quiet day. What with everything going on in the past weeks I'm glad to be able to sit back and read a nice book. Although I should really take a trip to the library, because all I have left is a book about the reproductive behaviour of spiders? I don't even know where I got that one.

All of this is giving me a big headache and I'd rather just pretend none of this is happening, but I was just leafing through That Book, and I found this:
All prefects are required to perform a scheduled closet check that they are not allowed to share with other students.
Excuse me? Does that mean I am expected to walk in on people whilst snogging or in the process of other questionable acts? Because I did not sign up for that, thanks. I have to listen to enough stories from James, and I don't exactly need the visuals to go along with them.
Maybe I should start wearing a blindfold while I do my rounds. |
